Alphonse Island activities: alphonse fising

Have you ever tried fly fishing? Now you have the opportunity to become an expert in the field together with a guide. It is a special art to be able to make the line float in the right way over the water. It is not easy in the beginning, but then the reward will be all the greater, the first time there is a bite. You are fishing in the beautiful lagoon and of course your catch will be released again.

Alphonse Island experiences: snorkling seychellerna

The geographical isolation of Alphonse Island forms the framework for a very special feeling of undisturbed tranquility. Here you can let the rest of the world fend for itself for a while. Find silence and contemplation, or venture out into more action-packed activities – you decide.

Alphonse Island experiences: turtle_alphonse

Alphonse is also the place where you can experience magnificent turtles, both green sea turtles and Karette sea turtles. The Alphonse team is happy to tell you more about these amazing animals and their life cycle, from the first steps into the water to later laying eggs on the same beach they once came from – many years later.

Alphonse Island is involved in several environmental and eco-projects, both in research, rehabilitation and monitoring. Special focus is on sea turtles, marine life and the care of forests and natural conditions. The hotel must be a natural and non-stressful part of the island’s ecosystems.

The Alphonse Island Conservation Center (ICS) was founded in 2007. It offers guests activities such as Turtle Patrol, Beach Clean Up, Giant Tortoise Feeding and Birdwatching.

Alphonse Island Lodge provides support for ICS’s activities, and as a guest at the lodge, you are part of this support. Each week you can attend a meeting where you are updated and told about different projects and the status of them. Feel free to buy a book or souvenirs from the ICS store – the money from the sale goes to the various activities that ICS carries out.
