We love to travel, and there are so many positive things associated with traveling: you discover new places, gain insight into new cultures and lifestyles, you may gain a new perspective on the world or yourself.
Our mission is to inspire you to choose a slightly different way to travel. We want to inspire you to travel consciously, and with the goal of leaving a positive footprint on the place you have visited.
As hotels, planes and other means of transport often leave a negative footprint on our climate and environment, we cannot in good conscience claim that we are arranging sustainable travel. But we would like to call it a conscious traveler – although most of our travels go to places where flights are the only way to travel here.
Most of us have a laid back attitude when it comes to painting a picture about ourselves. You may eat a little differently, opt out of the extra car trip or look at your energy consumption in the home or at work.
What we mean by “conscious travelers” is travel, where we as guests treat the place we visit with respect. This can mean, for example:
- that you as a traveler choose to stay in smaller, eco-friendly hotels that actively work to limit CO2 emissions
- that you as a traveler choose to stay in hotels where the hotel is a positive force in the local community – both culturally and in terms of nature
- that travelers choose to stay in hotels that support the good development of the local community and that work for equality and fairness Terms
